There was no blog yesterday due to a major computer crash! My notebook is totally sick and it is being shipped to HP. Fortunately, I have backup.

It's Massage Mania Day! I just had my tatoo worked on! Now, calm down.... It's just on my face (what????) Yes, got my lips tatooed, this time, not just the outline, but more of a full color tatoo. It looks great, it's called permanent make up. This completes what I had worked on this month, eyebrows and eyeliner. The result is subtle, however, for me, being in the water all the time, I love the end result!

The Oasis schedule is starting earlier than usual with a first appointment at 7:00 am this morning! I welcome early appointments as I am an early riser, especially in the summer time. There are still some spots available today, so, please call me and I should be able to accomodate you.

About the salmonella in tomatoes this week.... It can be found in any food supplies, from fruits to vegetables to proteins. Always wash your produce carefully, salmonella is invisible to the naked eyes. If any given water supply used to irrigate say, a field of vegetables, be contaminated, you can just imagine the repercussions in the crop!

PAPAYA DRINK RECIPE
Papaya: ½ (cut to pieces)
Orange: 1
Lemon: 1
Mint: 1 sprig
Sugar: 2 tsp
Black salt: ¼ tsp
Peel and separate the segments of orange. Mix together with papaya, lemon juice, sugar and salt. Blend with crushed ice. Pour into glasses and garnish with mint leaves. Serve chilled, add Tequila to taste or virgin style. Muy bueno!

What a gorgeous Sunday... When I broke up with my boyfriend some time ago, I knew it was for all the right reasons. While there is a feeling of emptiness and the need of feeling close to a familiar person, these needs are what we humans all starve for: affection.

Yesterday, I was just planning to talk about weather & traffic conditions (lol), however, Craigslist started heating up with an inflammatory topic that has been going on for some time now. The battle was between, licensed massage therapists, providing this and that service and likewise counterparts, however, not licensed.

LMT don’t tolerate non-licensed on the board and feel this is their duty to flag them. I inquired with Trish, LMT, located in the NW valley, who advertises on CL (her ads don’t get flagged). I emailed her, asking her if she was one of the constant flaggers. Her reply was: “ I do flag as requested by CL but only by the guidelines established by CL. It takes quite a few flags from different computers with different ISP addresses to get your ad removed...”

WOW! As a client: wouldn’t it be just wonderful if every ad looked alike? I think not. Diversity is good and offerings of various therapists and therapies are the reasons you look for ads under CL Therapeutic. I doubt you are looking for the magic number posted at the bottom (LMT# or a patent #, which I have). I do believe you are looking for a service that will fit your need and you would like to be given the freedom of choice. You don’t right now, since ads get censored & flagged by two rival gangs on CL (LMT and non-licensed MT)

I see that the flagging perpetrators’ ads always remain and others’ don’t live a day. Bravo, what a nice way to shine “quality”

It was rather windy yesterday, I almost flew away (just kidding!) I have rose petals on the surface of the pool this morning, it's pretty but also it is my first chore this morning.

I get a lot of comments from my guests about craigslist's constant flagging. Yes, my ads get flagged by other advertisers. There are some kind of "massage authorities" who think that only their services belong in there. There are women & men with private studios, tubs and what not who believe my presence on craigslist is a threat to their businesses. I will continue to advertise on it, with the understanding that my ads will continue to get flagged. I also advertise on https://backpage.com (paid advertising) and there, people's ads do not get flagged.

We are technically still in the winter, however, with 102 degrees in Chandler yesterday, it's hard to believe! I've adjusted my water temperature down to 92 degrees so that your Water-Chi experience is perfect. There are a lot of energy drinks out there besides your regular old coffee.... They are rather expensive and gimmicks in my view. For a super boost, I make my own energy drinks. In a fruit extractor, process 4 celeri stalks, 2 cucumbers, 2 fingers of fresh ginger. In a blender, process a bunch of fresh spinash with 2 cups unfiltered apple juice* & 1 lemon juice. Combine ingredients together, and enjoy a delicious, super healthy & re-energizing beverage! (4 servings)

*Sprouts or Trader Joes have excellent organic unfiltered apple juice.

Have you planned your summer vacation yet? Word has it that it is cheaper to fly to Europe from Las Vegas! Casinos are trying to attract the Europeans with their strong Euros. Now, when you go to Europe, flying for cheap is only a temporary relief, compared to the cost of vacationing over there! I was there last time in July 06 and I was amazed to pay 3 Euros for a 12 oz. water bottle. Ok, it was at a hotel in Paris, but c'mon, that was a little much! Even though France is my native land, and I visited my family, my trip was extremely expensive. $230/day car rental for a small 5 speed with bad A/C! It is much cheaper, however, if you rent online from the US. I did both.

A major home remodeling has occured in my website last night! A few weeks ago, I had announced about imminent changes. Some products (photogallery & DVD) are no longer available to the general public and are now collectors' items. So, if you have a copy of it, hang on to it.

Under "Links", which will be renamed by the end of the day "Surf", you will find an abundance of great DVD's, products, books and more.

In a few hours, the "store" will no longer be age restricted.

All prices remain the same and services remain the same high quality you have enjoyed.

There is a crazy & fun exhibit taking place at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Arts on March 20th (tomorrow)! Outrageous cars and bikes will be displayed for your viewing pleasure. For those who knew, I had a vocal cord paralysis for the last three months, and my voice is now coming back! While still a little shaky, I sound a lot better and not as monocord as before. During that time, I felt what people living with a disability have to face on a daily basis. At times, I've had to write on paper what I wanted to say, as my voice was so faint, and some phonetics had simply disappear. I am very excited, happy to hear myself speak more normally again and thrill to share this news with you!

The community of Chandler has a lot to offer in terms of arts! From Musical performances to Visual performances, it is happening! Downtown Chandler is charming, very pedestrian friendly. It has a farmer's market, several very delightful small restaurants, a wine degustation bar and so much more, all at a walking distance. The San Marcos Hotel Resort, a historical building, is standing proud in the middle of this growing community. As a "European pioneer", I've stayed there when I first scouted Arizona, moving from No. Cal to AZ, almost three years ago. I enjoyed the little bit of culture in the middle of the desert!

While things are peaceful here, things aren't so on craigslist! I advertise regularly under Therapeutic, unfortunately, some frustrated people keep on "flagging" my posts and bashing my services! This morning, one individual got pretty desperate, and wrote pure trash. I've requested CL to remove this person's dumb post. The content of this post isn't classy and whoever wrote it, has anger management issues in life.

Back to business... As of 6:30 am, I still have some openings today, call in early to reserve or anytime for future appointments.

Exactly two months ago, I lost my voice with no other symptoms… It has not come back, and my ENT doc told me it could take up to a year before I get it back! Doc took a video of my throat and my right vocal cord is paralyzed, cause is unknown. Point is when you call me, you will notice that I have a very faint voice, kind of breathy, topped with a French accent, it may be a little difficult to understand me! I am doing my best to articulate and be audible, bear with me, please…

It’s an eternal summer here in my oasis and if you’re missing the sun and heat, consider taking a mini-vacation today (or this week, I am booked today as of 12:00 pm) in my tropical oasis! These days my water is at a constant 100 degrees for your enjoyment…

My Mom is always asking me to share my recipes with my friends…. So, I thought it would be nice indeed to share with you today. Here is a recipe from my repertoire:

Carne Asada

1 1/2 lb. sirloin steak, cut into 1 1/2-inch strips
Marinade:
2/3 cup tomato juice
Orange rinds
1 T vegetable oil
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. oregano
3/4 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. chili powder
2 tsps vinegar (red wine vinegar works well)
2 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 C orange juice
1 medium garlic clove, chopped
Serve with: tortillas, salsa, sour cream, guacamole

Serves 2-3

Combine marinade ingredients. Put steak in a plastic zipper bag; pour marinade into bag and seal. Refrigerate 8 hours or overnight turning bag occasionally. Drain marinade. Grill meat until it reaches desired doneness. To serve: place steak strips on tortilla, then add desired toppings. Make baked enchiladas with left over, top with enchilada sauce and shredded cheese. My morning is booked, I still have openings this afternoon, call in ASAP for same day appt, it doesn't happen very often...

My pool pump is at the shop this morning, so unfortunately, I will not be taking any Water-Chi appointments until after 2:00 pm. I am, however, taking European Massage appointments, so please call to experience my healing hands on you, on my quad-roller massaging heated pad and of course, enjoy my warm stones application. This will be by far, the best massage you've ever had!
